GameStop Expo 2013, the retailer's annual event showcasing products which will arrive in their stores in time for the holiday season, will be open to the public in Las Vegas on Aug. 28, the company announced in a press release today.

It's only the second time that the event has allowed in non-employees; last year's GameStop Expo took place in San Antonio, Texas, where members in the Power Up Rewards program were able to purchase tickets on a first come, first serve basis. This year, anyone can buy a $35 entry pass or $90 VIP pass (which grants early access to the show floor and seating at exclusive panels), or can opt to use their Power Up point balance to cover the cost.

The 250,000 square foot Sands Expo and Convention Center will be filled with demo stations and booths where upcoming games will be available to preview. One of the exhibitors will be Sony, who will be showcasing the PlayStation 4 — according to the press release, their booth will offer "an in-depth look at the new console and its exciting launch lineup."

Registration for GameStop Expo 2013 opens today.
